James Mitchell

Co-Founder

Jim Mitchell, CLU®, ChFC®, is committed to helping individuals and families achieve financial security. His passion for financial planning stems from personal experience—losing his father at age 52 and witnessing the financial struggles that followed. This experience drives his mission to ensure clients have the protection they need so their loved ones never face similar hardships. He asks a simple but crucial question: “If you die tonight, does anyone suffer financially tomorrow?” His goal is to make sure the answer is always no.

Jim earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and a Master’s in Education. He later obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations from The American College, which are recognized as the equivalent of a Master’s in Business. His extensive education and experience allow him to guide clients with clarity and confidence.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Jim traveled extensively during his service, including time in the Mediterranean and Cuba. He even had the rare opportunity to visit the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa before it was closed to the public. As a soldier, he competed in shooting competitions with an M1 rifle at 500 yards using open sights, qualifying for Annapolis and temporary assignments in Cuba.

Jim has been married twice—both times to women named Elaine. In a humorous twist, he once met another woman named Elaine who had also been married twice to men named Jim. He and his wife, Elaine, married on January 20, 1996, after Jim won a surprise all-expense-paid trip to the Super Bowl and suggested they make it their honeymoon. They share a blended family with two stepsons and five step-grandchildren.

Jim also learned valuable life lessons while working with motivational speaker Charlie “Tremendous” Jones, who taught him that challenges are opportunities for growth. With decades of experience in financial services, Jim specializes in wealth management, retirement planning, and life insurance. His focus is simple: ensuring his clients and their families remain financially secure, no matter what life brings.
